Show and Heal provides yoga sessions for children, teenagers, parents, and staff, aiming to support their mental well-being. This holistic healing approach is designed to guide individuals in a manner that positively influences their daily lives

Teaching yoga with a mental health focus provides individuals of all ages with tools to navigate life's challenges, promoting a balanced and resilient mindset.

We focus on four key benefits in each yoga session we provide:

  • Stress Reduction: Yoga helps individuals manage stress by promoting relaxation and mindfulness.

  • Emotional Regulation: Participants learn techniques to regulate emotions and respond to challenges with greater resilience.

  • Physical Health: Regular practice improves flexibility, strength, and overall physical health, contributing to a positive mindset.

  • Community Building: Group classes foster a sense of community and support, combating feelings of isolation.

Engaging children in yoga not only tests their flexibility and pushes them to their physical limits but also plays a crucial role in fostering confidence and promoting an active lifestyle. By encouraging children to explore and push their boundaries, yoga becomes a tool for personal growth, allowing them to strive toward reaching their full potential. Despite its initial challenges, practicing yoga instills a belief in themselves, ultimately contributing to both physical and mental well-being.

The yoga we have been teaching is holistic and empowering youth to center their mental health equally to physical, emotional, social, and academic health. Yoga offerings are centered on asana, pranayama, yamas, niyamas, mental health, identity, social skills, and diversity and inclusion.
